Communication, Communication, Communication, is key!

I’ve nearly written about this countless times. I’ve learned more and more the value of listening with trying to understand someone’s viewpoint. It doesn’t necessarily end in agreeing by seeing any point of view someone else’s way. What it does accomplish is communication. Communication through a society fueled by “social” media. Which has in many ways created anti-social people. What’s lost is the opportunity to communicate by way of hearing someone else out. Most people want to demand conformity of our opinions about any subject at hand. Although it’s great to be passionate about what convictions we have. It’s highly unproductive to stay at the place of, “my way or the highway.”

I use to spend a lot of time being torqued off with people on Facebook especially. To be honest some things are offensive and wrong no matter who we are. A lot of things though can easily be productive through listening for resolve instead of wanting to be heard most of all.

I pray humility win so communication can happen again with us all. If we never try to think outside our own boxes of opinions we will become a island to ourselves. Isolation and division are two tactics the adversary uses often. It in my opinion is to combat the plans and purposes of Christ in and through our lives. If you live in a shell of opinion you may feel protected by it. What's actually happening however is isolation. To be clear I am in no shape, form, or fashion suggesting apologizing for scriptural beliefs. What I am saying is know the value of someone with love while holding to truths that the Father God has shown us. He never wants revelation apart from the fruits of the Spirit. I early on felt very inadequate with trying to debate doctrines with people of other faiths or point of views scripturally. The Lord said very clearly to me, "I don't need you to know all the beliefs of others, just know what is true about what you believe. Share what you know and don't be concerned about what you don't know about other faiths and beliefs."

This all be said listening is again key to communicating anything. If you shut down someone because you view it differently then nothing changes. If you love your God, yourself and then your neighbor honor and communication will be known by our love.
