How did we get here? Who's to blame? I'm not sure people recall there was a time when people debated, disagreed, agreed, got offended, defended, celebrated, tolerated and still respected differing opinions enough to consider we might not be 💯 right. Social media brings out the worst in people mainly because your fingers do the talking. Apparently we have come to a point to where how we feel trumps truth and honor. I certainly do not think we should ignore our emotions or passions either. They have their value and place. I'm just thinking when grown people are more self centered and self righteous than anything else it's frightening to think where this will go as examples to our kids. I'd like to be mad at Facebook and other social media resources. However they're simply apps developed for communication to be made with more ways of doing it. Ironically they've been exactly the opposite, little communication if at all. I'd like to be frustrated with Millennials and say things like your generation is selfish and prideful. However, where have they learned this from? Or how did they come to believe expressing yourself is fine even if others become isolated doing so? I want my children to be themselves, I also teach them honor and respect is key when doing it. I agree with sharing our opinions. I agree with sharing it with controversial differences too. It's when opinions or differences become more important than those who may read it we have a problem. The hypocrisy is off the charts from liberals toward bible believing Christianity. Accusations of being intolerant while often times being intolerant because of the scriptures they hold to. Loving to quote, God is love scriptures while ignoring He is holy and just also. At the same time to many bible believing Christians are happy with being saved and not walking in their identity and purpose God gave them. They neither consider He is holy and just for them also. So we look like a bunch of kids bullying each other in the name of self righteousness. I'm way past being angry with people, although I do feel that some. I'm at a place of throwing my hands up to God and saying I'm not sure we will grow out of this? I sense a great deal of hurt that the enemy is behind and stirring it up. You and I can blame people if we choose to. Everyone knows though leverage when used against you leads to your fall. "United States" we are called but land doesn't do that. If we won't care for ourselves as a Nation first, how can we take of any others? I don't think people are going to solve our problems themselves. It's seriously going to take a Holy Spirit move of God bringing awareness of truth, holiness, and powerful love. These things should carry powerful miracles and unity that verify He is truly God. This takes away the attention of people and divisive prides and prejudices. This will lead to a devotion to Him which is desperately needed. Blame presidents if you must? But the real question is, how did we get here? It didn't start with who's in office now or who just left office either. It's happening because people have been more concerned about themselves rather than God. It's led to a society following the lead of those "carrying light" or so it should be. I suppose a lifestyle of repentance paired with a heart full of powerful love should be appropriate for us all. God's love affects change. Without personal change however, this problem will remain or decline. The change that brings transformation to holiness in truth is needed more than for you and I. It's something the world is waiting for, but they haven't seen the light as they should.
